Current Projects

Current SoonerWARN projects in progress include:

• A website including emergency contact information, as well as a resource exchange for member utilities
• A Mutual Aid Agreement to facilitate assistance activities for private utilities not covered by Oklahoma MAL
• Coordinated press response to security related events/emergencies
• Access to vulnerability assessment tools

The goal of the current SoonerWARN membership is to provide services to member utilities and encourage more participation across the state. SoonerWARN seeks to assist its members with the following issues:

• Recovery coordination
• Resource inventory and availability status
• Information exchange
• Preparation protocols
• Emergency Response Plan updates and checklists
• Updated best management practices reference library
• Up-to-date status reports
• Pertinent legislation briefings
